After looking at other dolls, I think this was one of the more accurate looking Big Bird dolls. I bought the doll for my niece, who loved it immediately as she is a fan of the Sesame Street characters. The toy is soft and a good size – not too small, not too large. It was a great gift!!

We got this for our daughter when she turned two and have been very pleased with it. It looks just as good in person as it does in the picture, is paint free, and is made from recycled materials (reclaimed sawdust and plastic). It even smells good, kind of woodsy. The jeep is well-constructed and the wheels roll easily. It has a really nice look to it. The dinos and the little guy are also really cute. Our daughter really likes this set so far, and we plan to buy more Sprig Toys after seeing the quality of this product.

I had doubts when ordering battery-powered Percy given some of the negative reviews, but am pleasantly surprised.
Percy has heft that helps with traction, yet is able to withstand falls onto tile floor with nothing more than minor paint chips. Traction is good and Percy can pull several cars up and down the 2-riser section of our track. He loves to pull the troublesome trucks which are really cute with their articulated cargos. The cars do sometimes derail mostly due to the coupling magnets riding up on each other. Alone he can run reliably around the track without derailing. I have not experienced any of the difficulty other reviewers have with derailing. The full-time 4WD works great and is essential.
My son still likes to push Percy, and there is an audible clicking of the clutch, but nothing alarming. By the time he wears it out I would have long ago gotten my money’s worth out of this toy.
Percy will slow down going uphill, but the gearing is good and he has so far been up to the task. Downhill he has motor braking so descents are controlled.
Mine only goes forward, not reverse as the early ones apparently did.
Battery life is decent and the first alkaline has powered a week of intermitent play so far.
Battery powered Percy is a welcome relief when I’m tired of stooping and chasing my 3 yr old around the train table. It’s fun to see how really useful Percy can be and explore the limits of his pulling prowess.
I’ll be ordering battery-powered Thomas and am thinking about James. I hope they are equally useful.

I was for sure that I wanted to get my daughter the Melissa and Doug bead maze because everything they make is supposed to be so safe however I found out the read wire has arsenic in it!!! I immediately cancelled my order I had just placed and bought this one. It came out of the box perfect, no tightening of wires or screws required. No loose parts of any kind, nothing in the bottom of the box to worry about. These are all complaints that I have read regarding other bead mazes. The price is a bit high but it is totally worth it to have a toy come out of the box and you can set it down immediately on the floor and let your child play with it without having to be concerned about them getting hurt. My daughter loves this toy and she has been dragging it around the condo since Christmas.
